Operation
The PF 450 range of metal detectors are
designed as a modular system for installation in passages, walkways,
entrance booths, etc.
They are supplied in kit form for installation by others.
The detector coils take the form of two fibreglass frames which can be
mounted on passage walls or concealed behind panelling.
The electronic module is supplied in a polycarbonate enclosure which can
be mounted up to 20 metres from the coils.
The control module can be used to alert security personnel or provide an
output to lock doors or turnstiles, etc.
It is advisable to obtain advice from the manufacturer if installation is
contemplated in access booths as these types of installations are
complicated by doors etc.
The unit includes power and fault indication.
Construction
The detector frame is constructed from
fibreglass which ensures that the unit is robust and durable, and will not
deteriorate with time. The attractive modern shape incorporates open sides
which minimises the feeling of being restricted.
Mounting holes can be provided for on request.
The detector is normally stocked in a standard light grey, but alternative
colours can be requested.
